Job Description

The Finance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the finance department, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with internal controls, and timely completion of month-end processes. This role supports the Financial Controller in managing accounting functions and helps guide the accounting team to achieve operational efficiency and financial accuracy.

 

  • Supervise day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, and income audit.

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, reports, and supporting schedules.

  • Review journal entries, reconciliations, and ensure compliance with hotel policies and procedures.

  • Monitor cash flow, bank reconciliations, and petty cash disbursements.

  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.

  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and assist with tax filings (VAT, corporate tax, etc.).

  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors during financial audits.

  • Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting policies.

  • Train and mentor junior team members to ensure high performance and professional development.

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and timely issue resolution.

Desired Skill & Expertise

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA, CMA is a plus).

  • 3–5 years of progressive experience in hotel accounting or finance.

  • Strong understanding of hotel accounting systems (e.g., Opera, Sun Systems, SAP, or similar).

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
