We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Commis II – Pastry to join our culinary team at Silver Sands Beach. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in pastry arts, with a background in international hotel standards. You will assist in preparing high-quality pastry items, maintaining hygiene standards, and supporting daily kitchen operations.
Assist in the preparation and production of a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods under supervision.
Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the kitchen leadership.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations at all times.
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and quality standards.
Support the Pastry team in mise-en-place and service operations.
Report any food spoilage, equipment issues, or safety hazards promptly.
Participate in training sessions to enhance pastry skills and knowledge.
Fresh graduate or up to 2–3 years of experience in a pastry kitchen, ideally within an international hotel or resort.
Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts or Pastry is preferred.
Basic knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, and baking equipment.
Passion for pastry and attention to detail in presentation and taste.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication and team-working skills.
Willingness to learn and grow within the kitchen team.
