The IRD Manager oversees all aspects of the In-Room Dining (IRD) operation to ensure exceptional service, quality, and efficiency. This includes managing daily operations, supervising staff, maintaining high guest satisfaction, and ensuring all brand standards and health & safety guidelines are met.
Manage and supervise all IRD operations including ordering, preparation, and delivery of food & beverages to guest rooms.
Train, schedule, and motivate IRD staff to provide excellent customer service.
Maintain a deep understanding of the in-room menu, seasonal offerings, and dietary restrictions.
Monitor guest feedback and implement improvements to enhance the guest experience.
Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure food presentation and quality meet brand standards.
Ensure all orders are accurately taken, prepared, and delivered in a timely manner.
Oversee inventory, ordering, and stock control for the IRD department.
Handle guest complaints professionally and efficiently.
Ensure all IRD equipment and delivery carts are maintained and sanitized properly.
Implement and maintain operational procedures that comply with local health and safety regulations.
Monitor departmental budgets and control labor costs to meet financial targets.
Assist with special in-room events and VIP guest experiences.
Degree or diploma in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Food & Beverage, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or managerial role in IRD or Room Service.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene protocols.
Proficiency in using POS and hotel management systems.
Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
