Job Description

The Financial Reporting Executive develops automated financial reports utilising the Sun Systems Q&A Reporting Tool, develops dynamic and automated budget and forecast financial models, provides accurate month end financial reports consolidation, any other assigned ad hoc reports and analysis by the Group Director of Finance, and researching and analysing financial information to help the Group make well informed decisions, write reports and monitor financial movements.

  • Consolidate and analyse financial data (budgets, income statement, forecasts, etc) taking into account Group’s goals and financial standing
  • Assist the hotel and F&B teams with the development, review and upload of all budgets and forecasts
  • Provide creative alternatives and recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance
  • Assemble and summarize data to structure sophisticated reports on financial status and risks
  • Develop financial models, conduct benchmarking and process analysis
  • Conduct business studies on past, future and comparative performance and develop forecast models
  • Identify trends, advise and recommend actions to the Hospitality leadership team based on sound analysis
  • Track and determine financial status by analysing actual results in comparison with forecasts
  • Reconcile transactions by comparing and correcting data
  • Gain and update job knowledge to remain informed about current and future industry trends
  • Communicate with a wider audience outside of Finance including department leadership. Influence company leadership through the presentation of accurate and reliable data
  • Drive process improvement and policy development initiatives that impact the function
  • Prepare financial analysis models for all potential initiatives and measure results after implementation
  • Research and report on financial actual result variances against budget and forecast Identify areas of opportunity for cost reducing or revenue generating initiatives/best practices
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly consolidated financial and operational reports for HMC and F&B
  • Prepare monthly consolidated cash flow for the hotels
  • Be the lead in the financial system implementations for the upcoming projects and openings
  • Continue managing the relationship with the OA managers
  • Continue managing our insurance programs with the CCO

• Hands on experience with statistical analysis and statistical packages
• Knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance and information analysis
• Well informed in current financial subjects, accounting, tax laws, money market and business environments
