Job Description

 

We are looking for a talented and personable Bartender. The Bartender will be responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean, organized bar area. This position requires a passion for hospitality, knowledge of mixology, and a commitment to delivering a memorable guest experience.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, wine, beer, and soft drinks.
  • Create signature cocktails and recommend beverages based on guest preferences.
  • Ensure beverages are served with the correct garnishes, glassware, and presentation.
  • Greet and interact with guests in a friendly, professional, and engaging manner.
  • Take beverage orders from guests, ensuring accuracy and providing excellent service throughout the visit.
  • Address guest inquiries about drink menu items and make recommendations when needed.
  • Handle guest complaints or concerns promptly and professionally to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including the bar counter, glassware, and equipment.
  • Ensure the bar is fully stocked with necessary ingredients, spirits, garnishes, and glassware.
  • Clean and sanitize bar tools and equipment to comply with health and safety regulations.
  • Process customer orders and handle cash, credit, and digital payments accurately.
  • Follow hotel procedures for cash handling and ensure proper accounting for all transactions.
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures for the bar, including setting up, restocking, and securing cash.
  • Monitor and manage the inventory of alcohol, mixers, and supplies.
  • Assist with regular stock checks and ordering of supplies to ensure the bar is always well-stocked.
  • Report low inventory or discrepancies to the Bar Manager.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines, including handling alcohol responsibly.
  • Monitor alcohol consumption and ensure compliance with hotel and local liquor laws and regulations.
  • Ensure the bar area complies with all hygiene and safety standards.
  • Work closely with other bar and restaurant staff to ensure smooth operations.
  • Provide guidance to less experienced staff members and assist with training where necessary.

Desired Skill & Expertise

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent; bartending certification or mixology training is preferred.
  • Previous experience as a bartender, preferably in a hotel, restaurant, or high-volume bar environment.
  • Knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages.
  • Experience with POS systems and cash handling.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong knowledge of mixology and drink preparation techniques.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring all beverages are prepared and served to a high standard.
