Job Description

As an F&B Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the food and beverage department to ensure exceptional service and a smooth workflow. You will lead and supervise the F&B team, ensuring that all staff members are delivering top-quality service, adhering to company standards, and maintaining a positive guest experience. This role requires strong leadership skills, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to manage both front-of-house and back-of-house operations efficiently.

 

  • Supervise, guide, and motivate the F&B team, including servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff, ensuring they provide high-quality service to all guests.
  • Monitor staff performance, provide ongoing training, and offer feedback to ensure team members meet performance standards.
  • Assign tasks and duties to team members based on the shift and operational needs.
  • Assist in the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new F&B staff.
  • Ensure that all guests receive exceptional service, from greeting to farewell.
  • Address and resolve guest complaints or concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience, ensuring that all needs are met.
  • Assist in creating a welcoming, positive atmosphere for guests.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the F&B department, ensuring smooth service during shifts.
  • Ensure that all food and beverage orders are accurately taken and delivered in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth and efficient service.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area, bar, and service stations.
  • Ensure that all equipment, utensils, and supplies are available, properly maintained, and stocked.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and sanitation regulations, including food safety standards.
  • Conduct regular checks to ensure cleanliness and safety in all areas, from kitchen to dining space.
  • Ensure that all staff are trained and compliant with safety standards and emergency protocols.
  • Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels, conducting regular stock checks, and ensuring proper rotation of stock.
  • Report any issues with inventory levels, shortages, or overstocking to the F&B Manager.
  • Help manage ordering of supplies and ensure that they are delivered and stored properly.
  • Help maintain control over the department’s budget, including labor and operational costs.
  • Assist in managing daily revenue, ensuring that cash handling, payments, and tips are processed correctly.
  • Monitor the efficiency of service, identify potential areas of improvement, and help implement cost-effective strategies.
  • Support ongoing training initiatives for the team to improve customer service, product knowledge, and safety procedures.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to F&B staff, fostering professional growth and development.
  • Assist in preparing performance reviews for staff and provide constructive feedback for development.

Desired Skill & Expertise

  • Proven experience as an F&B Supervisor, or similar role, in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to handle guest complaints effectively.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage offerings, including preparation, presentation, and service standards.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations in the food and beverage industry.
  • Ability to manage inventory and control costs effectively.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required); additional certifications in Hospitality or Food & Beverage Management (preferred).
  • 2-3 years of experience in a supervisory role in the food and beverage industry.
