Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Collection Officer to join our team for the 3 PM to 11 PM shift. The ideal candidate will not only handle customer transactions efficiently but also bring strong analytical skills to assist in tracking financial data and improving processes. Spreadsheet proficiency will be a key part of the role to help with daily reconciliation, sales reporting, and other administrative tasks.

 

1. Cash Handling & Reconciliation

  • Ensure all transactions are recorded and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
  • Manage cash balances , securing cash and handing over cash to Fasttrack with full record of cash received/handed over
  • Receiving of other payments  -credit card/cheque
  • Perform end-of-day cash reconciliations to ensure accounting accuracy.
  • Prepare financial reports for each day, flagging any inconsistencies
  • Allocate receipts in accounting system to record cash transactions

2. Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Use spreadsheets to log sales transactions and record transfers to bank.
  • Analyze daily sales data and report to Finance
  • Assist with adhoc analysis and reporting as required

 

3. Compliance & Security

  • Follow all policies related to cash handling and safety procedures
  • Monitor for fraudulent activities or suspicious behavior during transactions
  • Adhere to all operational protocols and ensure the cash is secure

Desired Skill & Expertise

  • Previous experience in retail, cashier, or financial handling role preferred
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends
  • Proficiency in spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets)
  • Familiarity with basic formulas, data entry, and pivot tables is a plus
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in cash handling
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be comfortable working independently during evening hours.

 

Working Conditions:

  • Shift hours: 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM (Evenings, including weekends or holidays as needed).
  • May require working under minimal supervision during late hours
