Job Description

In collaboration with the Director of Sales and Marketing, the Cluster Assistant Sales Manager is responsible for maximizing room and F&B revenue from an assigned portfolio of key accounts and prospects. The role requires proactively identifying new business opportunities and driving conversion to meet hotel budgetary targets. As a senior account handler within the Sales department, this position demands a high degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. The role focuses on account management and does not entail the day-to-day management of the sales team. Representing First Collection Hotels, the Cluster Assistant Sales Manager will uphold and promote the quality image of the company at all times.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage a designated number of key accounts and prospects to maximize yield in line with revenue targets.
  • Develop and maintain effective call objectives and action plans for each key account and prospect, ensuring timely follow-up.
  • Actively prospect and secure new business for all our hotel properties.
  • Ensure the Opera system is fully utilized, keeping account activity and rate information up to date.
  • Handle group and event inquiries, coordinating with the Events Team to ensure accurate handover and follow-up.
  • Represent the cluster at trade fairs, promoting the hotels and maximizing opportunities to enhance the company’s image.
  • Understand the hotels’ marketing plan and budgetary guidelines to make informed decisions during rate negotiations.
  • Support the Director of Sales in the annual Marketing Planning process by compiling competitor rate and product information.
  • Communicate client requirements to internal departments to ensure superior guest service delivery.
  • Develop and execute quarterly sales action plans, addressing any challenges to completion with the Director of Sales.
  • Organize and manage familiarization and educational trips based on business needs.

 

Desired Skill & Expertise

  • A valid UAE driving license and car is a MUST
  • Must be a fluent Russian speaker 
  • Proven experience in sales or account management within the hospitality industry, preferably with multi-property responsibilities for a minimum of 2 years 
  • Strong understanding of revenue management and hotel operations.
  • Proficiency in using Opera or similar hotel management software
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and take initiative in driving business results.
  • Willingness to travel for trade fairs and client meetings.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
