Job Description

  • Report for duty punctually while wearing the correct uniform and name badge at all times.
  • Assist the Chef de Partie in organizing the shift within the section, focusing on mise-en-place preparation and service.
  • Take orders from the Chef de Partie and execute them efficiently and accurately.
  • Collaborate with the Chef de Partie to prepare daily requisitions for wine, dry store, food, and kitchen transfers, ensuring approval from the Executive Chef/Executive Sous Chef for proper stock rotation.
  • Maintain good relationships with colleagues and contribute to a positive, motivating work environment.
  • Follow portion sizes, quantities, and quality standards as specified by the Chef de Partie, adhering to the recipe guidelines.
  • Complete the daily mise-en-place and food storage checklist accurately.
  • Attend daily and monthly meetings with the Chef de Cuisine, as well as other meetings requested by the Executive Chef/Executive Sous Chef.
  • Report any machinery or equipment issues to the Chef de Cuisine and follow up to ensure necessary repairs are made.
  • Review the main information board for any banquet changes or other updates relevant to the kitchen’s operation.
  • Maintain a clean and organized section at all times.
  • Pass on all relevant information to the next shift for smooth transitions.
  • Record any accidents or illnesses in the logbook and report them to the Executive Chef/Executive Sous Chef.
  • Assist the Chef de Cuisine in developing new recipes and menu ideas.
  • Fully understand and adhere to the company's policies related to fire, hygiene, and safety.
