The Laundry Valet is responsible for providing exceptional laundry services to hotel guests, ensuring that their garments are handled with care and returned in excellent condition. This role involves managing guest laundry requests, operating laundry equipment, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The Laundry Valet plays a crucial role in enhancing the guest experience by delivering prompt and high-quality laundry service.

• Receive, process, and deliver guest laundry items, including clothing, bedding, and special requests. Ensure that all garments are handled with care and meet the hotel’s quality standards.
• Operate washing machines, dryers, and pressing equipment to clean and prepare garments. Sort, wash, dry, iron, and fold laundry items according to type and care instructions.
• Monitor and manage laundry supplies, including detergents, fabric softeners, and other cleaning agents. Ensure that all supplies are stocked and reorder as necessary to maintain inventory levels.
• Inspect garments for stains, damage, or special care requirements before processing. Address any issues with items and communicate with guests if needed.
• Maintain accurate records of laundry requests, processing times, and inventory usage. Ensure that all records are updated and accurate for billing and tracking purposes.
• Provide courteous and professional service to guests, addressing any laundry-related requests, questions, or concerns. Ensure prompt and efficient delivery of laundry services to enhance guest satisfaction.
• Adhere to all health and safety protocols related to the handling of laundry and cleaning chemicals. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in the laundry area.
• Keep the laundry area tidy and organized, including regular cleaning of machines, work surfaces, and storage areas. Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to the appropriate department.
• Assist with other duties related to laundry and housekeeping as needed, including helping with special requests or peak periods.

• Previous experience in laundry services or a similar role is preferred. Familiarity with laundry equipment and garment care is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Good communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 pounds, standing for extended periods, and operating laundry machinery.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required.
